Tavern on the Green Auction

New York City's Tavern on the Green restaurant is closing after New Year's Eve and is holding an auction on January 13th and January 14th of 2010. The owners of the Tavern on the Green filed for bankruptcy and hope the proceeds will help to pay off creditors. The new owner, Dean Poll will take the reigns in January 2010. History
Central Park's Tavern on the Green was built in 1870 and was designed to hold sheep. The owners were forced to file for bankruptcy in September 2009. The restaurant will be in operation until December 31, 2009.
